It's So Fluffy!

Lately my down pillows have lost all their fluff and firmness so I started to investigate a new, higher fill, better quality, set. It's been ages since I've replaced them so I figured it was time. I typically buy my basic bedding from Bed Bath & Beyond (my purse is always filled with their discount cards) but I wanted to upgrade. I checked out Scandia Down, then quickly realized that luxury pillows are waaay out of my price range. A pair of their most basic queen pillows would have cost nearly $600. So I back peddled a bit and thought, what would Martha do? She'd wash them first and see if that does the trick. Maybe they just need to be re-fluffed?! I got online and read that even if the pillow instructions say "dry clean only", most can be washed on delicate, then dried on low with a tennis ball to bounce out all the down fill. So after paying $2.75 for the wash and dry and $3.99 for a can of tennis balls, I attained pillow perfection. I'm so glad I didn't throw money at new pillows, they're as full and fluffy as always! As you can see, I'm very proud of myself and just had to share my findings with you. The ball really makes all the difference.

*Random Note ~ If you haven't seen Despicable Me, you really should. The little girl in the movie is obsessed with her fluffy unicorn toy, it's really cute. I think that's why I'm into fluffy things right now.
